Story Baseline 

This script details the account of the tower of London bombings from the views of 2 reporters the story is told through the reports they issue through the events of the attack and right down to the end if the situation 

Act 1 Scene1 

Advertisement is playing on the radio but suddenly you hear a voice come over the ad and starts announcing a bulletin about a devastating terrorist attack on the tower of London   

Steve Berkley 

We interrupt this broadcast to present this special bulletin the tower of London has collapsed due to an explosion at the base of the central tower it has also been reported that there has been 12 fatality and 22 injured as they climbed out of the rubble calling for help. We are still yet to find the conspirators of the attack we shall update when new information comes in as we wait for new information, we talk to our reporter john smith on the scene.  

                 Sound of rubble being moved and people crying for help as they are moved from the rubble  

John smith 

We stand here above the rubble of the tower we are reminded of previous attacks on London and this is of something like the 7/7 bombings as cctv footage reveals one of the bombers as Croydon resident Adam Savage as of now we don’t know the reason for his actions, but we do know he is one of what the police understand is he is one of 3 perpetrators of the attack. 

If you see Adam Savage, please call the police and stay safe as they could be armed back to you Steve.

We’ll keep you updated as the situation intensifies. 

Act 2: it’s been 2 days since the attack and Adam savage and his co-conspirators and police are still searching for them, but radio is interrupted by another report.  

Steve Berkley 

We interrupt this broadcast to give you a special bulletin my name is Steve Berkley it has been 2 days since the attack and reports coming in have been saying Adam Savage has been located and is held up in a flat block in lower Brent the police have blocked all entrances to Rodborough court I hand you over to our reporter on the scene John Smith. John? 

John smith 

Thanks Steve. Adam is currently in a standoff with the police after he gunned down 2 people who were in the flats and have taken the rest hostage and this has opened the way for negotiations for the hostage’s safe release we’ll keep you updated as time goes on. 

Steve Berkley 

Thanks John from what the Savage family has stated is that Adam was a happy child and they scared of what he's become and insist on him giving up on the hostages 

JOHN SMITH 

From what we can see here Steve is some men rappelling down into the balconies of the flats and a fire has sparked on the first floor the men currently moving into the building a covered in black clothing and armed well get back to you. Oh, there has been shots fired from inside the building we have been told to evacuate the area surrounding the flats we’ll get back to you later. 

During the confusion Steve couldn’t hear what john was exactly saying 

  

STEVE BERKLEY 

Sorry but did you say armed? It seems that we have lost connection to john well try and reconnect to him later today, but we advise you to stay away from the area. 

Act3: 30 minutes have passed since john last spoke but suddenly, they have reconnected to john 

 JOHN SMIHT 

Hello Steve? Steve can you hear me. 

 STEVE BERKLEY 

Yes john. what's happened are you alright  

Johns signal is lost as screaming and gunshots erupt from the background of johns broadcast  

 JOHN SMITH 

Yes, all is fine, and the hostage situation is now over as of what we currently now known as members of the SaS raided the flats and has shot and killed Adam savage and his 2 accomplices with just one hostage being injured during the cross fire. Now London can rest, and others can now have some closure on this event now London is saved
